Love Is Murder proudly announces that it will once again offer a critique service to writers attending the 2009 con.
Performing the critiques will be Denise Dietz, the best-selling author of several novels, including FOOTPRINTS IN THE BUTTER and BEAT UP A COOKIE. Deni has been a free-lance editor for 21 years. As co-founder of Stray Cat Productions Ltd, her clients have included Fran Baker, Emily Carmichael and Carolyn Haines. As a Tekno/Five Star editor, she has worked with best-selling authors John Lamb, Maggie Sefton, Gabriella Anderson, Kate Flora and Earl Merkel. deni@denisedietz.com and http://www.denisedietz.com.
The following rules will be in effect for all manuscripts submitted for critique.
1) The manuscript must be in 12-pt font and double-spaced with standard margins.
2) No more than 30 pages made be submitted for critique.
3) Manuscripts must be sent as email attachments to denisedietz@shaw.ca
4) Manuscripts must be received by December 25, 2008.
5) Payment of $30 per manuscript must be received by LIM prior to any work being performed by Ms. Dietz. Include payment with your registration. If you’ve already signed up for LIM 2009 and wish to add this option to your registration, please pay by PayPal or mail a check for $30 to Mary Welk, Registrar LIM, 6127 N. Ozark Ave., Chicago, IL 60631.
Deni will not only critique your work, but also do a light edit of your manuscript. She will return your manuscript prior to the conference, then meet with you at LIM to discuss your book and the publisher submission process. The time and place for this meeting will be announced at a later date. |
